When you're e-mail marketing, Traffic is a GOOD thing.
The fact of the matter is that no matter how great we make our blog if no one sees it we will have wasted our time.
The saying from that Kevin Costner movie A Field of Dreams that said "Build it and They will Come" does NOT apply
We need a specific type of person (just look at your list to refresh your memory) to
-
come to our blog
-
get interested
-
sign up
- start enjoying our content
-
buy stuff!!
This is the ONLY way that we will get our money machine up and running.
Here are some great sources of traffic
1. Pay Per Click Advertising
The fastest way to drive traffic to your blog, unfortunately as you'll find in affiliate marketing on ALL campaigns if you want something fast you have to be willing to invest some money to see quick results.
Your per click cost will vary depending on the key word that you are bidding on.
(See future posts as we go more into depth on this topic)
One strategy would be to set-up a Google PPC campaign and once you have 500 subscribers cut the campaign and focus on more organic efforts. If you want to make money fast this is the way to go.
(In a typical successful e-mail marketing campaign you should expect to see $500-$1000 per month from this size list.)
2. Forum or Blog Advertising
Take your niche and type it into Google with "forum" or "blog" after it.
Join those forums (it's free!!) and post comments on those blogs.
(Make sure that you add a link back to your blog in your post or forum signature)
Try phrases in your posts that apply such as:
"I was just posting about this topic on my blog. Check it out."
(Make sure that you read all of the bylaws that the forum or blog requires so your posts will not be banned)
Focus on providing quality content in your posts.
3. Social Media Promotion
-
Create a Facebook Fan Page that links back to your blog.
(I'll go more into this later on later posts)
-
Create Twitter identity that is focused on your niche.
Follow others that fit your niche.
Post tweets that link back to your blog -
Create a Youtube Powerpoint presentation with you talking over it about your niche.
(Make sure that you link it back to your blog)
4. Article or News
Take your PLR content and reword it and re-title it and submit it to as many large article or news article sites as you can. Make sure that your article has a link back to your blog.
Keep your blog fresh....
While you're doing all this remember to keep posting new material from your PLR pack reworded in your blog posts. Google likes to see regular new content every 24-48 hours.
To your success,
