Are you dreaming about spending more time with your family?
Wouldn’t it be awesome to stay at home as much as you want and still make a whole lot of money? It seems like a dream doesn’t it? Making money in any business requires hard work and determination. It’s the same for making money online. Anyone can do it who’s willing to not give up.
How did I do it?
I’ve had so many people ask me how I make money on the internet that I put together this blog to help anyone who wants to get started. (Just to help you out, I’m including links to companies and resources, etc…. that I use in case you want to check them out.)
I’m a stay at home Mom living in the Los Angeles area with my husband and son
We’ve always had a tight budget, but when my husband got laid off I really needed to find a way to make money, stay home and be a full time mom, because my son has special needs.
I got a flyer in the mail about Anthony Morrison’s program and decided to check him out. His book, Advertising Profits From Home had so much information that I wanted to learn more – Great read; see my review (coming soon!) I was really impressed with Anthony, because he didn’t make outrageous claims that promised tons of money overnight with no work. Instead he offered information to build a real business that would take time and hard work, but eventually be profitable. I may not be the smartest person, but I knew that I could work hard and never give up.
I decided that knowledge is power so I invested in his top educational program. Wouldn’t it be great to have a friend who’s invested time and money to learn how to be successful and passed it on to you for FREE?

| In a nutshell,Step 1. I joined the Wolfstorm affiliate network where I got offers to promote.Step 2. I decided on a niche that I wanted to promote. (For example you could do: diet, health care, going green, etc.)Step 3. I bought a domain name that had to do with my niche. I did this at Netfirms. (Buy just the domain there it’ll cost $7.95 per year for the domain.)Step 4. I got a hosting account at Bluehost (only $6.95 per month.)
Step 5. I set up an email automatic responder that cost me $1 buck for a 30 day trial with aWeber. (This is a huge time saver for a work at home mom, because you don’t have to respond to each email to stay in contact. Email marketing is the key to making big bucks with a small time investment). Step 6. I built my free WordPress blog and bought the Thesis theme so I could be sure that Google would see my site. Step 7. Then I directed traffic to my site.. |

Since The Affiliate Marketing for Dummies course is all about creating your own Money Making Blog it definitely is not off topic
Wordpress, a free software that I use to create self-hosted blogs, has a WYSIWYG editor built in. It’s not as full featured as a full blown HTML editor, but my focus in the course is the get someone who knows nothing about blogs up and running using their own blog. That means my goal is to use tools that are simple and keep working

Lisa, you caught my eye with your story. I am completely new to this and very frantic to learn! I lost my job this past Saturday and there’s no hope of completing an degree to make money quick enough. I am young yes, many people say I have all the time in the world to better my life. I want “better” now. Although I am only 22 years old I have huge responsibility’s in my life. My father fell ill with a stroke 2 years ago that has left him in a nursing facility all this time. That left me looking after my two younger siblings for the lack of my mothers help. She has suffered from alcoholism for most of my life and I am burdened with picking up her slack. I simply want a good life for my siblings and myself and I am truly willing to work as hard as needed and try whatever helps! Good luck to you and thanks for your tips! Thank you for sharing your journey. It sounds like you definitely have the motivation to be successful! You are the reason that I started my blog. I want to bring change to people’s lives who are willing to work for it. That’s what I love about this business. You can be successful at it as much as you’re willing give it. Here is a suggestion for you as you’re first starting out. Write out your goals. Write them on a large poster and look at them every day. Write them on index cards and carry them around and read them several times a day. Focus on them and you will find a way to get there. One word of caution. This is not a quick money business. Do not rely on this as your sole means of support starting out. Many businesses take years to really turn a profit, this can be much quicker but it is not instant. Set yourself up for success and try GoFreelance or Outsource Weekly or oDesk for instant money: . Or go get a temporary job and work this at the same time. It will pay off, but you must cover yourself!
I can’t remember if I said in my story on the video if my dad was an alcoholic. He is. Growing up in that is tough. However that makes us tough and we can choose to be different. We can be the “link that breaks the chain” and lives differently. Boy, I could go on and on.
Put together your blog. You aren’t going to make instant money, but it will get you started and you won’t have to put much money out. (Very very little.) Then you can really start to promote it and or start doing other forms of affiliate marketing that can make more money faster. The problem is that when you start doing things that make you money fast you usually have to put out money in advertising and it is easy to lose money in the process. You don’t have the luxury of extra cash to gamble with. Take it safe and I’m sorry to say a little bit slow. Learn how to do it and before you know it you will be making money. I can’t tell you how much money I have lost over the years because I was in too much of a hurry. You don’t want to lose what you worked to hard to earn.
One more word of advice. You are ripe for being taken advantage of. You want to make money so badly that you will believe the “mistruths” and exaggerations about what different programs can do for you. Stick to one way of doing things for now. Keep your eyes open for wolves! People are out there who would love to take your money and leave you with nothing.
You may want to also consider Anthony’s book, 365 Days to Success. It is expensive, if it is too much, maybe I could talk to him for you to try to get it cheaper. It is a really good step by step process. Also his book Advertising Profits From Home is a great book. The key is you have to ignore the sales men. They will try to sell you all of these extra packages and they are extremely persistant. However Advertising Profits gives a great technical overview of the business, and it is cheap $20. As long as you say no to all of the other stuff. (then it is really expensive:)

hi im absolutely new to this and i work at fast food and have bills to pay. i recently found out i have got my first kid on the way. and i need to know he or she will have a stable and comfortable life. but because of bills i have no way to invest anymore money than i already have, how can i find a way to do this free and be able to generate money to pay for investing into ads

Lisa Thanks for all your great tips, Your son is adorable !!, I couldn’t wait to get back on line , we lost power for a few days due to hurricane Irene. I too am very excited to do this , It seems like there’s alot of different avenue’s you can go down in making money on the internet. the hard part is getting started. I did purchase George Brown’s google sniper. haven’t had a chance to look at it yet. Chance and Lisa I too lived with an alcoholic for 16 years, my ex husband. He was very abusive, I couldn’t take in anymore, I had to get my son out of that environment, we have been divorced for 10 years(thats why my email is freeascanb), best thing I could of done , I could write a book, he made me cry so much. But that’s the past, now it’s time to move forward. I have had a tough time ,keeping up with my mortgage , those payments come pretty fast every month. I’m behind now, bounced some checks , don’t know how many yet., I need to get started making money, I never set up a website so I hope I can do this, My employer offers free classes for web design , I’m going to sign up . It takes time and effort to build. Please make sure that you have a source of income in place while you build it. I definitely would take advantage of any free web design classes that you can get. It can only help.

I enjoyed reading all your informative responses here plus on Facebook and Twitter links! I was wondering how to go about networking or affiliate sales in organic cosmetics. I used to have a link from Word Press that was a free download for driving customers to a blog or website. Do you have any idea on what this type of download this is called? Any suggestions on how to get started would be greatly appreciated Lisa:) Last year I did compile a long list of companies and businesses related to organic cosmetics in a long listing and emailed it to someone who claimed they were interested in a partnership. I believe he was scamming me since I never got a thank you response once the job was done and no money was made. Live and learn… so don’t be easily fooled is right!

I think organic cosmetics is a great niche to pursue. If you sign up for my course “How to make your first $1000 online i take you thorough a step by step process in how to analyze a niche and decide how to pursue it. I don’t know if any Wordpress download that drives customers to a site. I know that there are a lot of free SEO plug-ins for WP that you can install. I think the word that you’re looking for is plug-ins
Realize that as an affiliate marketer your time is your most valuable resource. Use it wisely. Keep a log of what you’ve spent your time on and check the log each night to see if you’ve been wise in your choices.
Spend the bulk of your time starting out learning. That way you will get fooled less and less, because you will be informed.

With havin so much content do you ever run into any problems of plagorism or copyright violation? My blog has a lot of completely unique content I’ve either authored myself or outsourced but it appears a lot of it is popping it up all over the web without my authorization. Do you know any methods to help prevent content from being stolen? I’d definitely appreciate it.
There is so much information on the internet it is hard to keep it private. My goal is to share it with as many people as possible, so I’m not worried.

They said when my business gets stronger to fill another one out and let them know so they can review it. When should I do this? Wolfstorm specializes in new affiliates. E-mail them and ask them why they are refusing your application. They are where I started. If you can’t get into their network start with clickbank instead. Both networks have great support tools. It’s all about learning how to become successful.

I am one that has tried every new niche in the world to try to make extra money. Amway, Shaklee,, Herbalife, Dan Kennedy Systems, Anthony Robbins, The Guru that made a million bucks in his pj’s placing small little ads in the newspaper.
All I was able to develop out of all these “Get Rich Quick Schemes” was a smaller checkbook. I even tried the affiliate marketing and added a company on my own small business website. http://www.latherandlights.com Still NO Hits!!!
Please enlighten me as to how Anthony Morrisons system is differrent? i am so skeptical to try something new again, but feel the need to because of the need for more income.

Basically, if you follow the “How to make your first $1000 online” free course I built your costs will be about $92 a year for your domain and your hosting. After that it’s how much time you spend on it.
